Characters from Victor Hugo's Les Miserables; Enjolras(top), Courfeyrac (left), and Combeferre (right).

To quote the book: "Enjolras was the chief, Combeferre was the guide, Courfeyrac was the centre."

This piece started off as a doodle of Enjolras, the "cherubim of Ezekiel", but I decided I rather liked it and added the other characters as well.

...okay, it occurred to me that I didn't sound praise-y enough in the last comment...honestly, it's lovely, and my overall impression is: GORGEOUS! ...but somehow I came out sounding critical and not too impressed in that last comment. Not sure how that happened. (Maybe b/c I'm sick...?

I've a nasty cold, and my throat hurts from coughing, and I can't SING...!)

Anywho...it's seriously beautiful...and, like everyone else around here, I love your 'Ferre. *siiiigh*

Oh my goodness, this is, like, perfect! The only thing I can find to criticize (well, besides the fact that, were it not for the expressions, I would have mistaken Courfey for 'Ferre...but that's more personal character idea, you know?

Besides, the expressions cleared it all up wonderfully...they're so very in character!) is that Enjy's face looks a bit lopsided...it could possibly be just the shadow...dunno...but yeah.

Anywho...seriously, though...I LOVE IT!

This is beautiful, a lovely depiction of three handsome Frenchmen. I especially like Enjolras's (or is it Enjolras'? Whatever.) proud stance, Combeferre's curls, and Courfeyrac's piercing gaze.

A-HA! So you're the one who drew the delightful series of Amis pictures that showed up in my devbox.

As I've said at Abaisse, this is beautifully rendered - and it captures the essence of the characters so well: Enjolras, looking upwards at his ideals; Combeferre, thoughtful and grounded; and Courfeyrac, ever rakish and charming (in a slight scoundrel-y way).
