I drew this following a trip to see Les Miserables in the West End for my 18th birthday. It's my favourite show EVER, and the performance was absolutely fantastic.
This is a momento featuring the cast I saw this time: Jonathan Williams as Valjean (pencil sketch towards bottom left) Nancy Sullivan as Eponine (to the right of Valjean) Alistair Brammer as Marius (bottom right), Jeff Nicholson as Javert (centre) Martin Neely as Grantaire (bottom left, centre) and David Thaxton as Enjolras (top left, top right, left, bottom left). I don't know the name of the boy that played Gavroche (the boy in the centre, to the right of Javert) as the actors alternate every night for the child roles.
The drawing portrays the "barricades" section of the second act of the musical (hence no Fantine and no Thenardiers).
The performance was fenomenal and I recommend everyone that lives in england to go and see it!!
Size: A4 Medium: pencil, coloured pencil, various pens
This is beautiful artwork, and a well-done portrayal of the infamous barricade. You should sell official posters for the company, that's how good this is.

David Thaxton is, I think, my favourite Enjolras and you've captured his likeness perfectly! And also THE GRANTAIRE/ENJOLRAS HUG! ^-^ every cast do that moment differently and you chose the thaxton hug. Basically...I couldn't love this piece more if I tried, so I'll just shut up rambling and love it in silence now ^-^
LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ i'm so glad you linked this on your other picture. I saw this picture months ago and never knew who drew it. YAY. I likes it. Very much.DAVID THAXTON FTW.
And you're SOOOO lucky to have seen this cast live. It looks AMAZING, from what I've seen on youtube (and I'm so glad there's so much stuff posted on youtube for it!).
Ah, and you've got The Hug there...

Aww Yes, this cast was fabulous. Last time I saw it in April, the combination of Thaxton, Nancy Sullivan and Jonathan Williams was so awesome I could have sworn the place was on fire. It was fantastic. And yes, thank the Lord for youtube!

"You'll see," said Grantaire gravely. "You'll see."
